Amsterdam Centraal Railway Station

Amsterdam Centraal is the literal heart of the city as the main hub of transportation as well as the center point of the radial system of streets in the historic ‘Centrum’.  The station was built on three man made islands and was controversial during its construction because its location separates the urban core from the harbor.
