Combining public art and bike mobility, this vivid sculpture is a great example of Louisville’s extensive bike rack and bench sculpture program. This bike rack is sited in a plaza outside of Louisville Slugger Field and serves ballpark patrons on gameday.
Key Details:
The bike rack is a tall and slender with galvanized metal frame and colored glass insets. The two angled posts serve as the mounting area for the bikes themselves. This bike rack is one of several benches and bike racks located throughout much of downtown Louisville. They were commissioned by the Louisville Downtown Management District and the program is the largest of its kind in the United States.1
If you go:
This sculpture is located on the west side and outfield entrance of Louisville Slugger Field. The large Louisville Waterfront Park is directly across the street.
