The Arc de Triomphe is a one of the most historically significant and recognizable monuments in Paris. Its position at the last and most televised stretch of the Tour de France brings international exposure to it each year. It is a major tourist attraction and key anchor of the great Parisian boulevard, the Champs-Elysees.
